PPI Debate: Is Atomic Energy A Cure for Climate Change?

Environmentalists Debate the Future of Nuclear Energy

On February 26, 2008, the Progressive Policy Institute held a debate in Washington, DC on nuclear energy titled, “Is Atomic Energy A Cure for Climate Change?” Our CASEnergy co-chair Dr. Patrick Moore was one of the panelists. Whitman Visits Illinois

CASEnergy co-chair Christine Todd Whitman kicked off 2008 with a trip to Illinois for a full day packed with meetings, speeches and discussions about nuclear energy with students, staff and faculty at Northside College Preparatory High School and Northeastern Illinois University.

This trip was part of the coalition’s efforts to engage more college students and younger people on nuclear energy and to encourage meaningful dialogue on energy issues.
