New York Times Editorial Supports Nuclear Power
On February 18, the New York Times published an editorial in favor of expanding nuclear energy titled, “A Reasonable Bet on Nuclear Power.” The Times editorializes that new nuclear is necessary “for the sake of the climate, this country’s energy future and the jobs a vibrant nuclear technology industry could create.” Please click here to read the entire article.
On February 20, the Washington Post published an editorial, “Powering Up: President Obama is right to boost the nuclear energy industry,” endorsing new nuclear as part of a clean energy policy, arguing that “nuclear power produces essentially no carbon emissions, it’s an appealing option for consistent and relatively clean electricity generation.”
