National Association of Manufacturers Highlights Jobs in Nuclear Industry

The National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) released a study on June 28, 2010, titled “Manufacturing Strategy for Jobs and a Competitive America,” which highlights the nuclear industry’s importance in creating and sustaining manufacturing jobs in the U.S.

The study calls for the creation of a comprehensive energy strategy that will support the manufacturing process.   NAM’s strategy specifically lists nuclear energy as a fuel that can provide the reliable, “baseload” energy necessary to power a strong, domestic manufacturing economy.
