CASEnergy Coalition Addresses Economic Benefits and Job Creation in Nuclear at National Conference
The CASEnergy Coalition is in San Antonio, Texas at the National Conference of State Legislators to make sure elected officials are familiar with CASEnergy as a resource and understand the benefits of nuclear energy. The NCSL Legislative Summit is one of the largest and most important gatherings of the year for legislators and legislative staff, presenting opportunities to network, as well as interesting session topics and speakers.
With nuclear energy on the agenda for session topics, the CASEnergy Coalition set up an exhibit booth to educate state leaders and address the need for clean, renewable nuclear energy in our nation’s energy future. With America’s need for electricity expected to increase 28 percent by 2035, it’s important that our state legislators understand the need for more reliable electricity sources. Further, nuclear presents economic opportunities, producing tens of thousands of high-paying American jobs that cannot be outsourced.
