CASEnergy Praises the IPCC Report on Global Climate Change

CASEnergy is pleased to learn that the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) has recognized nuclear energy and the important role it can play in meeting global energy needs, while mitigating the effects of global climate change.

The IPCC’s most recent report, “Mitigation of Climate Change,” provides recommendations on how the world must fight global climate change.

On Tuesday, May 15th, 2007, in conjunction with its one-year anniversary, the CASEnergy Coalition will be hosting a lunchtime symposium entitled “The Role of Nuclear in Addressing Our Nation’s Energy Challenges.”

With the help of the Wildlife Habitat Council (WHC), wildlife – ospreys, black-eyed Susan, purple coneflowers, endangered gopher tortoises and even American alligators – find protection in natural habitats surrounding nuclear power plants.
