Clean and Safe Energy Coalition is a national grassroots organization that supports the increased use of nuclear energy to ensure an affordable, environmentally clean, reliable and safe supply of electricity. Funded by the industry, the coalition was formed in 2006 to inform the public dialogue and educate Americans on the many benefits of nuclear energy.
Nuclear energy already provides 70 percent of the country’s emission-free electricity. With America’s electricity needs forecast to grow 22 percent by 2035, America’s future energy demands will require a broad portfolio of energy solutions, and nuclear must be a part of the energy mix. CASEnergy activates voices of support among the coalition’s co-chairs and 2,800+ members who represent a diverse group of individuals and organizations from the business, academic, industry, consumer, minority and labor communities. Through media events, grassroots advocacy and issues education, CASEnergy Coalition ensures that everyone from consumers to policymakers have the necessary tools to make an informed decision about nuclear energy.
The coalition is led by Christine Todd Whitman, former administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency and former governor of New Jersey, and Dr. Patrick Moore, Ph.D., a co-founder and former leader of Greenpeace.
We all have a shared stake in America’s energy future and that is why CASEnergy Coalition actively promotes nuclear energy as an affordable, clean, reliable and safe source of power.
